How
to register your car.
By
registering your car with The Classic Car Agency your prized possession
could be used as part of any one of a number of promotional campaigns.
Not only
will the fee help contribute towards the maintenance and upkeep of
the car but a secondary benefit is that it could make the car 'famous'
and
more valuable
Our
clients insist on absolute accuracy for their assignments. As such our
library of cars needs to be extensive. Each marque has to be
represented by all of the various models, colours and examples
manufactured
over the years.
A booking
could last from a day, a week or possibly longer. It could be part of a
TV drama, a
feature film, pop video, CD cover, a static shoot. The options are
extensive.
Whatever the need no commitment is undertaken by The CCA on behalf of
an
owner until we have contacted them ourselves and they are happy and in
agreement with the assignment proposal.
How
it works
The information that you submit to us remains
confidential and with The CCA
only. Your personal details are not posted on the website or held in
the web
data base. They are held on our internal system only. The car details
you
submit on our registration form are published but not the number plate.
Before we scan the photograph onto the site we mask the plate out so it
does
not appear in any photograph.
When we are contacted by an organisation that is interested in the hire
of
your car we take the details of the assignment and then contact you
directly.
This will be a comprehensive itinerary including the proposed fee. It
is then
your decision if you want to accept or not. It is important to note
that we
always insist that the owner is with their car during the assignment
and that
they inform their insurance company of the booking. It is always good
fun to
watch the professionals at work who are always appreciative of Classic
Cars
and enjoy chatting to the owner during a break. Only when you are
totally
happy with the proposal will we confirm with the third party. A booking
form(s) will then be sent to you confirming the details, the second
copy
which you sign and return to us. It could not be simpler or more secure!
Upon receiving your request we will send you a
registration form which you will need to complete, or you can download
it here by selecting the most appropriate format from the selection
below, clicking on the format you require then select save to disk when
prompted. Then print it off, complete it and send it to the address
shown above and on the form.
Download the CCA Registration Form below:
You will
need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view this form. To obtain it for free
We will also need a minimum of 5 high quality
photographs of the car (4 exterior & 1 interior). Ideally these
should be jpeg digital images in a landscape format (ratio 100% wide to
75% deep) and sent to us on a CD. Sending images by e-mail is not
recommended as our computer system may dismiss these as SPAM or a
virus. Alternatively 7” x 5”photographs are an
option however images reproduced on computer ‘home’
photo paper tend to suffer from lack of definition and quality so any
photos sent need to be on professional photography paper. Any material
sent can be always returned if requested. We prefer to keep these on
our file but if you want them returned please enclose a stamped
addressed envelope.
The Fee You Will Receive
In return for providing your car for a booking,
you will be paid a fee. The fee is determined by several factors such
as the agreed insured value of
your car, (which we cross-refer to our database of Classic Car values),
the type of assignment, the duration of the booking etc.
As your agent The CCA are liable to you for
payment of the fee. The CCA will earn a commission from the booking
being the sum paid by the hirer less the fee paid to you.
You as the provider of the car must ensure the car
is available for the hirer for the relevant booking.
The Cost
We
have to make a nominal registration fee to cover our administration and
web costs. However this will be rebated to you on completion of your
cars first promotional assignment.
The
cost is comprised of an owner's registration fee of £15 and
then £10 per car. So one car is £25; two
£35; three £45 etc.Less than the cost of a tank of
petrol!
Your
car(s) will be featured on the website complete with 5 photographs (all
of them with the facility to be enlarged at the click of a mouse)
together with your own comprehensive history of the car and some
background information on the marque itself. Interested parties can
print this off so your car can be presented to those looking for the
'right car' for their assignment.
There
are of course no guarantees as to when your car will catch the film
studios eye or that of the art director. But unless your car is there
in the first place there is no chance at all!
